Philadelphia Eagles: Best WR picks still available Day 3 of 2020 NFL Draft
By Dan Parzych
Cards on the table, it is sort of amazing to consider the fact that Tyler Johnson still happens to be on the board entering the final day of the draft, although it shouldn’t be too long before the wideout hears his name called.
When looking at all of the teams in need of help at the wide receiver position, there are numerous teams that Johnson could actually compete for a starting job with if his final two years at Minnesota have anything to say about it.
The 164 catches recorded by Johnson were certainly impressive for 2,487 yards were beyond impressive for the wideout, but the 25 touchdown passes also stand out the most.
Johnson’s lack of burst and speed could be one of the reasons behind the wideout falling this late in the draft, but as long as he finds a way to produce on a weekly basis, this is what really matters the most.
Once the transition to the NFL becomes official for Johnson, the Golden Gophers product should be able to find a way to help make up for his weaknesses in other areas.
And if the team Johnson ends up on happens to be the Eagles, Wentz can only hope the youngster becomes just as much of an end zone threat as he was at Minnesota.
