Philadelphia Eagles: Best WR picks still available Day 3 of 2020 NFL Draft
By Dan Parzych
If Philadelphia is looking for a physical wide receiver to give some of the other players battling for a roster spot a run for their money, Collin Johnson could be a solid option worth considering in one of the final four rounds.
Between his ability to catch the football just about anywhere on the football field to the toughness he shows towards defenders, Johnson is another one of those receivers who seems determined to make an immediate impact as a rookie.
Even though Johnson was limited to playing in just seven games during his final year at Texas and only caught 38 passes for 559 yards with three touchdowns, these numbers could actually work to Philadelphia’s advantage if the interest is in fact there.
All Eagles fans need to do is look at the numbers displayed by Johnson as a junior in 2018 when he caught 68 passes for 985 yards with seven touchdowns to see why this could be one of those low risks with the potential for a high reward.
Johnson like most young players entering the NFL will need to improve in a few key areas, but hopefully he just needs the right coaching, which the Eagles could obviously provide.
