Eagles legends Brian Dawkins, Troy Vincent offer support for K’Von Wallace
One day after seeing the Philadelphia Eagles draft K’Von Wallace, two team legends, Brian Dawkins and Troy Vincent, offered some kind words for the rookie.
Here’s something that you need to understand if you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan, you may not feel like taking Jalen Reagor at 21 represented decent value. You might not be on board with taking Jalen Hurts in Round 2. You might not even like the idea to take Davion Taylor in Round 3, but here’s something that you can hang your hat on. Philly nailed Round 4 by selecting K’Von Wallace. If you aren’t certain of that, just ask Eagles legends, Brian Dawkins and Troy Vincent.
If you’re uncertain about the “legend” title, just do some research. Vincent was in Philly from 1996 until 2003. He made five Pro Bowls in that time, and he’s in the Eagles Hall of Fame.
Dawkins spent 13 seasons in Philadelphia. During that time, he was given seven Pro Bowl nods. He’s a member of Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame, the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and no member of the “Birds” will ever wear the number 20 again because of his efforts. Both are members of the K’Von Wallace fan club. For “Dawk”, that Clemson Tigers connection might have something to do with it. One day after the NFL Draft, he made the call to the members of Eagles Nation. Take a look.

Jeff Skversky of Philly’s 6ABC caught up with Troy Vincent. Here’s what he had to say.

Let’s make long stories very short here. Reuben Frank and Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia dropped a recent edition of their Eagle Eye Podcast, and they’re on board with Wallace’s selection. They’ve proven over the years that they know what they’re talking about.
If Wallace is good enough to put a smile on their faces and he’s good enough to impress Dawkins and he’s good enough to impress Vincent, that should be good enough for the rest of us. No one starts at one of college football’s most prestigious programs and racks up 156 tackles, two sacks, and five interceptions if they don’t know what they’re doing. Buckle up Eagles fans. This could be fun.
