5 Philadelphia Eagles who could lose their job following 2020 NFL Draft
By Dan Parzych
As excited as the 2020 NFL Draft was for the Philadelphia Eagles, there are a few players who could be out of a job come September.
All things considered, the Philadelphia Eagles had a successful 2020 NFL Draft when looking at all of the team needs they were able to fill over the last three days.
From using a first round pick on a speedy wideout in Jalen Reagor to their surprise selection in the second round of Jalen Hurts, the Eagles certainly left fans with plenty to talk about over the next few months leading up to training camp.
But as exciting as these additions are for Philadelphia, it also has some players on alert over the possibility of being out of a job down the road since new members of the team means extra competition at certain positions.
Whether it happens to be Jalen Mills worrying about losing time to K’Von Wallace at safety or simply J.J. Arcega-Whiteside eventually being the odd-man out at wide receiver, there will be plenty at stake for some players over the next few months job wise.
Of course, as bad as some fans might feel towards certain players, the important factor at the end of the day is the Eagles put themselves in the best position possible to win games during the 2020 season.
The pressure will already be on Philadelphia to earn a trip to the playoffs for a fourth year in a row after finishing on top of the NFC East last season, and the Dallas Cowboys having a successful draft won’t make things any easier.
So with the draft officially in the books, here are five current members of the Eagles who could eventually be out of a job down the road before the 2020 season officially gets underway.
