. Shaun Bradley. 4. player. 54. .

Philly had to take Shaun Bradley before guys like Quez Watkins and John Hightower for a few reasons, and those reasons are probably one of the following, if not all of the following. They had him ranked higher on their draft boards, and they saw the need for adding a linebacker at that spot as being more pressing than grabbing someone that plays another position.

Philly’s lack of respect for the linebacker position has been well-publicized, but so has the fact that they desperately need to upgrade the position.

The Eagles made two wise decisions by adding Davion Taylor and former Temple Owls star Shaun Bradley in the most recent selection meeting. For the former, a roster spot is probably assured. For the latter, there’s also a high chance for success seeing as how there’s uncertainty about every linebacker on the roster not named Nathan Gerry.

The Eagles signed Jatavis Brown during the free agency period, so they have plans for him going forward, but on a roster where the Eagles may keep five or six linebackers, Bradley should be able to provide nice competition for Alex Singleton, Duke Riley, and T.J. Edwards. Pay close attention to him as we move forward.
