As much as Philadelphia Eagles fans hate to hear about the possibility of adding former Cowboys to the roster, on the surface, Taco Charlton seems like a nice fit.

Well, here we go again. Another player with a recognizable name hits the open market, and immediately the questions about whether or not “so and so” is a nice fit for the Philadelphia Eagles begin. This time, it’s Taco Charlton.

The Miami Dolphins have made the decision to move on from him after ten games. The news was first reported at about 4:30 p.m. EST on April’s final day by ESPN Insider Field Yates.

In 37 career games (that includes 12 as a starter), Charlton has racked up 67 career tackles. 42 of those were solo and 11 resulted in a loss of yardage. Add that to nine sacks, an additional 16 quarterback hits, and three forced fumbles, and it’s hard to deny that he has talent. It can’t be ignored though. Two teams have now given up on him in almost four seasons.

Eagles fans don’t normally like the idea of former Dallas Cowboys on the roster. They don’t even want to entertain the thought, but regardless of all of that, Charlton’s addition is one that this team should, at least, consider. Here are two reasons why.
