The Philadelphia Eagles shouldn’t feel too concerned over the possibility of Cam Newton joining the NFC East as a member of the Washington Redskins.

While most of the excitement surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles at the moment is still on the recent 2020 NFL Draft, and all the new weapons brought on board, the defending NFC East champions should also be keeping an eye on Cam Newton possibly joining the division.

The Eagles certainly don’t need a quarterback at the moment after shocking just about every football fan during the draft by using a second-round pick on Oklahoma star Jalen Hurts, but there has been talk over the possibility of the Washington Redskins bringing Newton on board.

By now, most football fans assumed the former No. 1 pick would have signed with a new team after things failed to work out with the Carolina Panthers, and even though the scenario with the Redskins is all talk at the moment, a move like this wouldn’t be a surprise at all.

For starters, Newton joining the Redskins would mean the quarterback gets to reunite with his former head coach in Ron Rivera, who took the heading coaching job in Washington after being let go by Carolina towards the end of last season.

Time will tell when it comes to seeing if the Redskins end up pulling the trigger on Newton, but one thing seems certain, which is the Eagles or fans shouldn’t feel concerned over a potential move like this.

Maybe if it were a few years ago, this move would seem more concerning in Philadelphia, but for now, here is why the Eagles shouldn’t be worried at all over the thought of Newton potentially ending up with the Redskins.
