Here’s the worst-case scenario. Clement gets released early.

Fans are hoping 2020 brings some fireworks, but there’s one obstacle. Are we even certain that he’ll make the team?

Philly’s got five guys who do a lot of the same things. The “Birds” may want to look into adding some sort of “workhorse” or “bell cow”.

The Eagles’ current backfield consists of Miles Sanders, Boston Scott, Michael Warren II, Adrian Killins Jr., and Elijah Holyfield. There are a lot of guys there who are similar in their style of play. In other words, Philly’s got five guys who do a lot of the same things. The “Birds” may want to look into adding some sort of “workhorse” or “bell cow”.

They need a bruiser, someone who can churn out yards late and run clock if they have a lead, so don’t be surprised if they add another body at some point. All that’s been said to say this. What’s the worst-case scenario you ask? Right now, before we start discussing what Clement might do in the regular season, we need to ask if he’s durable enough or if he has enough left in the tank to even make the team’s final 53-man roster.

He no longer has the same upside as Sanders. He definitely isn’t pounding the ball up the middle ten to 15 times a game, and he isn’t as fast as Adrian Killins. Deal or no deal, making this roster for Clement won’t be easy unless of course, we’re using nostalgia as one of the determining factors.
