After bringing Corey Clement back on a one-year deal, the Philadelphia Eagles wouldn’t consider leaving him off of the 53-man roster, would they?

Once Philadelphia Eagles all saw Corey Clement haul in four receptions for 100 yards in Super Bowl 52, including a nice snag for a touchdown in the back of the end zone that Nick Foles put over three defenders and an amazing catch and run at the end of the first half that doesn’t get mentioned as often as it should, we all knew that Mr. Clement’s name would live in NFL lore and the hearts of “Birds” fans forever.

That underrated catch and run was a 55-yard effort that set up one of the greatest plays on football’s biggest stage and the longest offensive play by the “Birds” in all three Super Bowls that they’ve appeared in.

Clement even took the snap on the “Philly Special”, a play no NFL fan will forget regardless of what team you cheer for. Clement, a former undrafted rookie, lived just about every dream that every young man grows up having in Year 1, but the 2018 and 2019 season both ended for him with his name on the Eagles IR (injured reserve).

He’s healthy now as Philly signed him to a one-year deal on April 29th. You have to figure he’ll be on the final 53-man roster come September right? There’s no way the Eagles leave him behind, is it? As Lee Corso would say, “not so fast”! Here are three reasons Clement could be left off of the final 53-man roster.
