The battle at wide receiver will be a huge talking point for the Philadelphia Eagles all Spring and Summer. Here are five with the toughest climb to make the final roster.

For the Philadelphia Eagles, the quarterback room is, in all likelihood, set with Carson Wentz, Nate Sudfeld, and Jalen Hurts. That means Kyle Lauletta’s entire offseason will be an audition for some other team. There’s one tight end spot open seemingly with Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert firmly entrenched as the top two on the depth chart. Philly’s starting offensive line is also set (and well paid). We just need to identify who the reserves are.

The skill positions are where things begin to get cloudy, particularly with the wide receivers. Currently, the Eagles have 14 on the 90-man roster. Three of them figure to make the team easily, DeSean Jackson, Marquise Goodwin, and this year’s first-round selection, Jalen Reagor.

Others are questionable, Greg Ward for instance, but no one would be surprised if they made the team. Then, there’s Alshon Jeffery, who has to get healthy before Philly can make any real decisions about him. He’s followed by the guys who sit towards the bottom of the depth chart. That includes four more rookies.

It appears, at least on the surface, that 11 men are in a battle for three roster spots. Here are the five who will, no doubt, face the toughest climb to earning a position on the final 53-man roster in no particular order.
