5 Philadelphia Eagles WRs with slimmest chances of making roster

. . . Deontay Burnett. . player. 54
For as amazing a program as the USC Trojans have been historically, and they have been, recently their wide receivers just don’t seem to amount to much at the professional level. No disrespect is intended to Juju Smith-Schuster or Robert Woods, but they’re the exception to the rule and not the rule itself.
Right now, there are Eagles fans who are pounding the table and talking about Nelson Agholor‘s one decent season (as they always do), but as a whole, Agholor was a failure in Eagles green. One season doesn’t change that, and we’re approaching three years since he appeared to warrant the first-round selection the Eagles used on him in a draft that seems like it was five years ago.
No, wait for a second. It was five years ago.
That brings us to yet another former Trojan, Deontay Burnett. He went undrafted in 2018 but landed on the Tennessee Titans roster. He’s seen three more teams since then, including a stop in Philly in 2019 where he was signed to their practice squad on December 12th and promoted to the active roster on Christmas Eve. He caught two huge receptions for 48 yards versus the New York Giants, but that won’t ensure him a spot in 2020.
It just doesn’t seem possible that he’ll beat out all of the great talents the Eagles have accumulated at the position.
