The rival Washington Redskins made him the 209th-overall selection of 2017’s draft, but after waiving him, signing him to the practice squad, and eventually promoting him to the active roster in December of that year, Davis would miss the entire 2018 season after breaking his tibia and tearing his LCL in Washington’s 2018 preseason training camp.
After being shuffled on and off of Washington’s practice squad and active roster in 2019, Philly signed him to their practice squad in October. That was after the “Skins dropped him for a final time. His lone catch as an Eagle came in Philly’s Week 16, 17-9 victory over the hated Dallas Cowboys. It went for six yards.
Stranger things have happened, but with DeSean Jackson, Marquise Goodwin, and Jalen Reagor on the roster and with Greg Ward, John Hightower, and Quez Watkins in the mix, it’s hard to imagine a scenario in which he wiggles his way onto the final 53-man roster. Then, there’s this. If Philly was totally sold on him, they wouldn’t have drafted all of these receivers in the first place.
