Philadelphia Eagles: 5 bold predictions following 2020 schedule release
By Dan Parzych
2. Eagles finish 5-1 in NFC East
At the moment, the Dallas Cowboys are rightfully the biggest threat to the Eagles within the division when seeing all of the improvements from the offseason, whether it involves hiring Mike McCarthy as head coach or adding CeeDee Lamb to boost the offense.
In a way, it was sort of amazing to see the Cowboys fail to take advantage of Philadelphia’s injuries from last season on both sides of the football since Dallas should have been able to finish on top of the division with ease.
But if the Eagles believe the Cowboys are going to make it easy for them in 2020 to finish on top of the division for a second year in a row, the defending NFC East champions are going to be in for a major wake-up call down the road.
Not to mention, Philadelphia will most likely have their hands full against the Redskins and New York Giants as well since both teams are expected to make major leaps after going through some development in 2019.
All things considered, the Eagles finishing with just one loss in six games within the division may sound like a bit of a stretch, but also is certainly possible if Philadelphia does in fact have the necessary roster built for another playoff run.
