Philadelphia Eagles schedule 2020: 3 toughest non-divisional games
By Dan Parzych
1. San Francisco 49ers: Week 4 (Away)
One can only imagine how motivated the San Francisco 49ers are going to be feeling once the regular season gets underway in September after coming up short the way they did during the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs.
But as devastating as this loss was for the defending NFC champions, the good news for the 49ers is the argument can be made this team found a way to improve this offseason, meaning San Francisco should have little trouble being a top contender once again in 2020.
Talent wise on offense, San Francisco obviously feels confident enough in Jimmy Garoppolo continuing to be their quarterback of the future, but it was actually the defense that turned out to be the major difference maker last season impact wise.
To say the 49ers struck gold during the draft in 2019 by landing former Ohio State star Nick Bosa at No. 2 would be a huge understatement when seeing how quickly the star defender worked his way into becoming one of the best players in the league as a rookie.
Traveling across the country for a game was already going to be challenging for the Eagles, but if the 49ers pick up where they left off from last season, this could end up being one of the toughest battles of the year for Philadelphia.
