The Philadelphia Eagles have a few advantages that could work in their favor from the 2020 schedule in comparison to the New York Giants.

While the Philadelphia Eagles have plenty of reasons to be excited over how favorable their 2020 schedule turned out to be, the defending NFC East champions should also be thrilled over how their schedule compares to division rivals, especially the New York Giants.

Over the years, the Eagles have been fortunate enough to take advantage of the Giants going through a bit of rebuilding, as Philadelphia will enter the 2020 season as winners of the last seven games against New York.

And while the Giants certainly have plenty of reasons to feel confident in their chances of becoming a surprise contender in the NFC during the 2020 season thanks to some key changes this offseason, they will still need to survive a challenging schedule.

Not only will the NFC East in general be difficult for the Giants since teams like the Eagles and Dallas Cowboys are expected to be two of the top contenders in the conference, but New York will also face plenty of other playoff-caliber teams as well.

From a September battle with the defending NFC champions in the San Francisco 49ers to a meeting with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the beginning of November, New York will have the work cut out for them once the regular season gets officially underway.

Even if the argument can be made that Philadelphia will see plenty tough challenges of their own come September, at least they should be able to take advantage of some difficulties New York is expected to see.

In fact, here are a few reasons to show how this could turn out to be the case in 2020 for the Eagles to help put the team in better position to finish on top of the NFC East for the third time in four years.
