With the 2020 schedule officially out for the upcoming season, the Philadelphia Eagles arguably have a few advantages over the Washington Redskins.

Even though the biggest threat for the Philadelphia Eagles at the moment appears to be the Dallas Cowboys, the defending NFC East champions will also have their hands full against the other two teams within the division as well, especially the Washington Redskins.

As disappointing as it was for the Redskins to only win three games in 2019 despite the previous expectations, at least this helped the team recently arguably land the top defensive player from this year’s draft class in Chase Young.

Take this into consideration with the fact that Dwayne Haskins now has some starting experience under his belt after filling in towards the end of last year, many believe Washington has what it takes to be a surprise contender in the NFC during the 2020 season.

This may sound crazy to even consider at the moment, but also keep in mind the Redskins have plenty of reasons to be excited over the offseason hiring of Ron Rivera to put the team in better position to live up to the high expectations, although this will be easier said than done.

Time will tell when it comes to seeing whether Washington does in fact end up being a legitimate threat to Philadelphia within the division, but hopefully the Eagles can use having the more favorable schedule to their advantage.

Plenty could happen once the regular season actually arrives come September, but since the 2020 schedule is officially out, here are a few reasons why Philadelphia has an advantage over Washington in this department.
