Philadelphia Eagles schedule 2020: 2 Reasons to highlight Week 14
By Hunter Doyle
The Philadelphia Eagles face a difficult matchup in week 14 of the 2020 season, and it could go a long way in deciding their fate.
Upon the release of the NFL schedule, Philadelphia Eagles fans knew this upcoming season would consist of some tough matchups, especially down the stretch. The final weeks of any regular-season campaign are always crucial, and “Birds” fans have to be thankful that the front office added some depth on both sides of the ball during the offseason.
Week 12 stands out as the Eagles will begin a pivotal three-game stretch against three playoff teams from a season ago. It starts with a home game on Monday Night Football versus the Seattle Seahawks. Then, the Eagles head to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers for a 4:25 P.M. EST game. Then, to finish things off, Philly comes back to ‘the Linc’ to take on the New Orleans Saints in another 4:25 P.M. EST game.
The Eagles haven’t beaten Seattle since 2008. Winning in Lambeau Field two years is in a row will be a difficult task. Both of those games are tough enough, but facing Sean Payton and Drew Brees in Week 14 pits Philly versus a squad that has gone 37-11 in their past three seasons.
This is a matchup that should be an instant classic, especially if both teams are contending. This is a game that could decide the Eagles’ fate in 2020. The “Birds” are going to need to prove they can compete against the best and gain some momentum to finish off the season and, hopefully, catapult themselves into the playoffs.
This may be the most significant matchup on the Eagles’ schedule. Before we explain why, here’s a bit of a history lesson.
