. . Casey Toohill. 8. player. 54.

Defensive end Casey Toohill was the last of Philly’s ten draft picks in 2020’s NFL Draft. Unless he truly lights it up (and it’s doubtful that happens when most of what these guys get is coming from virtual learning), it appears that all roads lead to, at best, the practice squad.

Toohill fills what appears to be a developing Stanford Cardinal quota on a packed Philadelphia 90-man preseason roster. He’s now the fourth Eagle on the current roster to have attended the “Harvard of the West”.

This former teammate of JJ Arcega-Whiteside’s racked up 57 total tackles and eight sacks as a senior, giving him 124 total stops, 14 sacks, a pick, and a forced fumble in 41 career games at the collegiate level.

If he’s to make the Eagles roster, he’ll need to battle with potentially five reserves who are battling for what might be four available roster spots. Again, it appears as though the practice squad might be the best-case scenario. Grade: undetermined
