How does 650 yards and six receiving touchdowns sound?

Being the competitor than DeSean Jackson is, he’s naturally going to have some issue with a reduced number of snaps if that’s indeed the Eagles’ plan, but again, this should be looked at in the same fashion that everyone envisioned Darren Sproles’ role would be.

Honestly, which one sounds better, Jackson playing 15-20 offensive snaps a game in situational duty or “10” missing the final six or seven games of the season and a possible playoff run because his body’s failed him by Week 10? You be the judge.

Game one of 2019’s regular-season campaign was evidence that, without Jackson, Philly’s offense would struggle, and they did all season once it was realized that he wouldn’t be available. It never should have been that way. Philly’s reliance on their oldest receiver was yet another demonstration of Howie Roseman’s inability to build this team through the draft. Hopefully, that issue has been fixed.

This offense needs to run through Sanders, Reagor, Ertz, Goedert, and Goodwin. Jackson will have an important role. He just isn’t going to lead the team in receiving yards or touchdowns, nor should he. Pencil him in for about 650 yards receiving and six touchdowns as Philly will continue to look for bigger bodies like Ertz, Goedert, and JJ Arcega-Whiteside in the red zone. Again, that may be just what the doctor ordered. Again, the pun there is intentional.
