Could Miles Sanders emerge as a MVP contender for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020?

Around this time last year, there was plenty of excitement surrounding Miles Sanders and what the young running back could bring to the table for the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2019 season.

Following an impressive career at Penn State, there was plenty of potential surrounding Sanders and even though running back wasn’t exactly a top need at the time of the draft for the Eagles, the team is sure glad they selected him in the second round.

Originally, Sanders was considered the No. 2 running back for Philadelphia’s offense, but with Jordan Howard dealing with a mysterious shoulder injury in the final months of the regular season, he would finish the year as the top member in the backfield.

Now, Sanders will enter his sophomore NFL season with all sorts of high expectations as the No. 1 running back in the offense with many believing the running back will finish with a monster 2020 campaign.

In fact, with the recent workout video by Sanders in which the running back can be heard throwing out the “MVP” term, a debate has started to emerge over whether this could actually happen for the young Eagles running back.

Rightfully so, it will be difficult for Sanders or any other player across the league in general to top Lamar Jackson or Patrick Mahomes for the MVP honors when looking at the ridiculous numbers the two youngsters put up last season.

But also, if a few key factors work in the favor of Sanders, Philadelphia could very well see this happen for their young running back on the rise.

Since it never hurts to have a popular topic of discussion, here are a few reasons to support Sanders having what it takes to emerge as a surprise MVP winner during the upcoming season in 2020.
