For these three members of the Philadelphia Eagles, 2020 is the right time for a breakout.
The Philadelphia Eagles have plenty of players on the final contract year of their current deal and still others on a one-year, prove-it deal in 2020, but for three important members of the roster, now is the time to prove their worth and whether or not they should be signed to extensions.
The Eagles will go into the new NFL season with one of the better rosters in the league, but at some positions, depth might prove to be an issue.
At defensive end, the Eagles don’t have a deep proven rotation as they’ve enjoyed in years past. At cornerback, outside of Darius Slay, there are no players that are locked into any specific role. At running back, the question remains. Who will be the second option behind Miles Sanders?
At each of these positions sit players who need to prove they are worthy of being a staple part in the Eagles’ franchise. Here’s the skinny on one from each position grouping.
