In dreaming up a few Eagles trade options, who better to poach than the Steelers?

If you’re like most Philadelphia Eagles fans, the “Birds” are like a family heirloom that’s passed down through generations, so you’ve probably, no doubt, heard stories of a unique history that exists between Philly and the mighty Pittsburgh Steelers franchise. There was even a time when they were united as the “Steagles”.

World War II forced these two proud franchises to align themselves as both had lost a considerable amount of talent to the armed forces. Greasy Neale and Walt Kiesling would have their challenges as co-head coaches, but in the end, a 5–4–1 record and a third-place finish would be the result of the 1943 season.

These two teams don’t play each other often, once every four years to be exact, but they will lock horns this season on October 11th at Heinz Field. That got the ITI staff thinking. We all look at the other sideline sometimes and wonder what it would be like to steal some of that team’s best talent. Who better to poach than the might Steelers? Here are three dream trade targets from the black and gold as we near 2020’s version of Eagles training camp.
