An update on potential Philadelphia Eagles training camp dates
A recent report might put a smile on the faces of Philadelphia Eagles fans.
It may not seem like it, but you can make the argument that yet another year is flying by. At the time of this story being published, we’re approaching June, and that means the calendar year is almost halfway done. Things aren’t completely back to normal yet, and Philadelphia Eagles fans everywhere have their fingers crossed that there will be NFL football played in 2020.
On May 27th, we may have taken a step in the right direction.
Get ready for this Philadelphia Eagles fans!
According to a report that came by way of Yahoo Sports, there are sources that have told them “head coaches could return to team facilities as early as next week”. Full-team minicamps are expected to follow. Here’s a quote.
"The sources told Yahoo Sports that if coaches resume their in-house work next week, minicamps including players could be scheduled as early as June 15 or as late as June 27, depending on COVID-19 data and whether a handful of franchises get a “go ahead” signal from state governments to resume full operations."
With the nervousness that fans have been feeling and with questions about whether or not we’d have football and what it would look like, that’s the type of news that can make fans stand up and cheer.
Again, there’s a lot that must be examined. There’s also the possibility, as FOX’s prized play-by-play commentator Joe Buck stated, of games being played with virtual fans to deliver a complete game experience (let’s hope they don’t do that), but regardless of what happens over the course of the next few weeks, one thing is definitely certain.
This is definitely news that states things are going in the direction that many of us hope they are. Can you imagine the possibility of no Eagles football from September to December? It kind of makes you cringe, doesn’t it?
