With a new season looming, let’s revisit 2020’s Philadelphia Eagles campaign.

It’s hard not to be proud of the job the Philadelphia Eagles did in 2019 if you’re a fan. Even though the team boasted a 5-6 win-loss total heading into their Week 13 matchup with the Miami Dolphins, the optimism in the “Birds” fan base was just about as high as anyone could ask for.

Why? It’s quite simple actually. The NFC East, at that point, was a two-team race, one between the struggling Eagles and a Dallas Cowboys squad that was also struggling to string wins together consistently.

It seemed as though the NFC East’s crown was one no one wanted to win, and despite being a game below .500, Philly’s chances of a playoff berth were alive and well. The optimism everyone had heading into Week 13 would quickly turn into anger however as Philly lost to the lowly Dolphins by a score of 37-31.

Despite making it difficult on themselves, Philly still controlled its destiny. They just needed to win out. Their final four games were all in the division, including a home date in Week 16 versus the Cowboys.

They’d win all four to take the division and earn a third-consecutive playoff berth. They’d lose in the Wild Card Round, but the fight they showed when they could have mailed the season in made sure the 2019 Eagles, a team that battled injury and the challenges of piecing together a makeshift roster every week, would live in the hearts of “Birds” fans forever.

Here’s a look at ten of the best moments of the season.
