3. The Philadelphia Eagles schedule is the total focus of this team, while their biggest threat still has a few kinks to iron out.

It’s impossible to measure the difficulty each NFC East team has had in navigating through free agency and preparing for an NFL Draft, but if anyone was to lay down a wager, most people from the outside looking in would probably bet that the team who didn’t make a coaching change or experience the difficulty of negotiating a new deal with their signal-caller probably has a leg up on the team that did.

That’s especially true when you factor in the idea of trying to handle contract negotiations or the day-in and day-out operations when most of the roster and leadership are quarantined to different locations.

That isn’t to say that the Eagles had it easier or harder than that so-called “America’s Team”, the Dallas Cowboys, possibly their biggest threat to a second-consecutive NFC East crown. Still, when one franchise’s quarterback has been taken care of with an extension (Carson Wentz) and the other’s is still battling through yet another impasse (Dak Prescott), it isn’t too far out of the realm of possibility to suggest the Eagles may already be a little deeper into their preparations for a new season than the squad that still needs to take care of a few housekeeping issues.
