Philadelphia Eagles: Elijah Holyfield versus Michael Warren versus Adrian Killins

If we’re all guessing correctly (and there’s no reason to assume that we aren’t), we can state, even now, that Miles Sanders, Boston Scott, and Corey Clement are making the roster. If conventional thinking can be relied upon (and if history is any indication), Philly’s probably walking into 2020’s regular season with four running backs active.

At the time of this story being published, the rumors of adding Devonta Freeman and LeSean McCoy being added are still be tossed around, but if that doesn’t happen, one can assume that second-year man Elijah Holyfield and the undrafted rookies, Michael Warren II and Adrian Killins, are battling for one roster spot.

If that holds, we might be able to speculate that Holyfield, who the Eagles brought in to get him the jumpstart on 2020’s season, figures to be the favorite out of those three. It’s safe to assume he should be able to beat out the young guys, right?

Regardless of what happens with those three, Philly’s got something to consider. They’ve got a lot of guys with the same skill set. They may want to add someone who’s a sledgehammer or a true workhorse. No one wants to see the Eagles run Sanders into the ground because of overuse.
