Philadelphia Eagles: 5 Possible replacements for Jeffery in 2021’s NFL Draft
The Philadelphia Eagles should place both Devonta Smith and Justyn Ross in their top five prospects at the wide receiver position.
Well, if you recruit five-star and four-star athletes and land about 15 to 20 of them every year, your guys are often going to be mentioned when the NFL starts hanging around certain campuses. We can count on a couple of the members of the Alabama Crimson Tide hearing their names called in the first round of every NFL Draft. 2021’s version shouldn’t be different.
Let’s hope that they aren’t, but if the Eagles are, again, in the market for a wideout in the mid to later stages of the 2021 draft’s first round, Devonta Smith may be a name that’s still on the board. Philly had better take notice. You can best believe the other 31 NFL teams will.
The Clemson Tigers just keep finding and developing these great wide receivers who have the letters “NFL” written all over them. The next in line for stardom is Death Valley’s own Justyn Ross. Like the aforementioned Tamorrion Terry, Ross stands at six-foot-four. Like the other guys mentioned on this list, Ross is a potential gamechanger who should get a lot of mention during the coming season.
During his first two seasons with Clemson, Ross racked up 112 receptions for 1.865 yards and 17 trips to the end zone. With Tee Higgins in the NFL, he should become Trevor Lawrence’s top target in 2020.
