How is it even possible that, after talking about the Philadephia Eagles‘ need to find depth at the running back position, at safety, and along the offensive line, that we’re still talking about the Eagles’ lack of depth at running back, at safety, and along the offensive line? Believe it or not, we still are.

The injury to Brandon Brooks didn’t help at all. Now, we aren’t just discussing whether or not Andre Dillard is ready for the challenge that’s been placed in front of him. We’re now wondering who’s going to play right guard.

By now, if you follow the “Birds”, you know that familiarity is one of the tools they use in roster building and keeping a practice squad together. Guys are brought back almost as frequently as they’re dismissed. It makes sense. It’s sometimes better to try to mix in some guys who are already familiar with what this team is doing than trying to paint new pictures on a clean slate.
