The Philadelphia Eagles may make cuts before camp begins.

It’s July, and for many of you, that means there hasn’t been much of a change in the circumstances for Philadelphia Eagles fans or anyone else from a lifestyle standpoint. Everything in our lives has been altered. Normally, this is where we seek entertainment or sports to finds an escape, but with no NBA or MLB season, that hasn’t been an option.

“Birds” fans held on to the hope that the NFL would deliver something, and though there have been ups and downs in the process, the impending return of baseball and basketball seasons have given newfound confidence to those who have always believed a football season would happen.

Unfortunately, we don’t know what it will look like, especially seeing as how we don’t know if fans will be able to attend, none of the 32 teams have started training camp, and the Hall of Fame induction ceremony and its corresponding Hall of fame Game have been canceled.

Now, there’s this. According to a story by CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora, several ideas are being tossed around, including two by the NFLPA where the preseason is cut in half or scrapped altogether and teams are asked to trim their rosters from 90 men down to 70 or 75 before camp even begins.

Who knows how coaches are supposed to evaluate their roster, but just as immediately as that thought arises, so does another. Which Eagles are in danger if that happens? Everyone has their guess. Here’s another, 20 “Birds” who are in trouble if teams are forced to make cuts quickly in no particular order and one whose entire preseason is an audition for another team.
