Hopefully that Philadelphia Eagles road magic shows up in 2020.

The goal for every NFL team is the same every season, win the Super Bowl. Long before there was a COVID-19 pandemic, the Philadelphia Eagles and all of the other 31 franchises started thinking about the same thing. There are different ways to do it. Every team that has been on the winning sideline at the end of football’s biggest game has had a different story to tell, but one thing remains constant.

If the Vince Lombardi Trophy is to be hoisted, at some point, the team that will be lucky enough to do so will have had to have proven that they’ve shown some mettle away from their home stadium.

The Eagles have some tough road dates ahead of them in 2020, including late-season contests versus the Green Bay Packers, Arizona Cardinals, and Dallas Cowboys and early tilts versus the San Francisco 49ers and Pittsburgh Steelers. If the “Birds” are to qualify for the postseason for a fourth-consecutive season, they’ll need to recapture some of that road magic that they’ve had under Doug Pederson.

We know that they can do it because we’ve seen some pretty exhilarating wins during Doug’s reign as head coach. Here are the top five with an honorable mention to the dismantling of the Carolina Panthers in a primetime game. It was, perhaps, in that one where we learned the 2017 Eagles were, indeed, title contenders.

Let’s get to the list. We begin with an honorable mention.
