Is Boston Scott the next Darren Sproles for the Philadelphia Eagles?

Who is Boston Scott? Most fans were asking this very question when he was returning kicks for the Philadelphia Eagles at the end of the 2018 season. Others were asking it again when he was getting touches with the season on the line versus the New York Giants in Week 14. Heck, Thom Brennaman even asked that question during the play-by-play call. Who Boston Scott is seen as remains a talking point in certain circles, but if one thing is certain, Eagles fans aren’t asking this question anymore.

Without Scott, the 2019 season could’ve been lost. His performance during the four-game playoff push at the end of the season made a noticeable difference in the Eagles offense. It opened up the field a little more, and it allowed Doug Pederson to go back to employing screen passes and running the ball up the gut.

Scott was a spark plug for this team down the stretch. Duce Staley once again did a great job working with an under-the-radar running back. We saw him do it with Corey Clement and Josh Adams when they had to step up in big moments, and in terms of “35”, the future in Philly looks bright. Here’s a quick look at what’s on the horizon.
