For the Philadelphia Eagles, the 2019 season was one to remember.

If you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan, you’re, no doubt, smiling a little more broadly than you did at the beginning of July. We know we’ll have an NFL season. We don’t know what it will look like. Heck, we don’t know if there will be any preseason games or whether or not we can go to the regular-season games that count against the win-loss total, but we do know that real football is going to happen.

That’s led to questions about safety protocols and salaries, but if you’re like the average football fan, what you’re most concerned about is the fact that you get another chance to see your favorite football team on the field again.

For the third year in a row, in 2019, the Eagles shrugged off injuries and the doubters to fight their way into the NFL PLayoffs. It was the second year in a row that they finished a 9-7 record, but even though things didn’t work out in the postseason as they had hoped thanks to Jadeveon Clowney going “Hulk Smash” on the back of Wentz’s helmet, “Birds” fans got a chance to see something that should be encouraging.

Against all odds, and despite the fact that they were very frustrating to watch at times, the Philadelphia Eagles, with castoffs and scout team guys at important positions, closed the regular season with a four-game winning streak and fought their way into an NFC East title and a Wild Card Game. They had given all that they had to give. 2019’s Eagles were a team “Birds” fans everywhere should be proud of, and here are their five best moments of a very memorable season.
