Darius Slay, Nickell Robey-Coleman, Avonte Maddox, Sidney Jones, Cre’Von LeBlanc, Rasul Douglas may solve the Philadelphia Eagles’ cornerback riddle.

It’s nice to finally have a bona fide number one corner in the building. As long as Darius Slay doesn’t play like Nnamdi Asomugha did he’ll be just fine.

Nickell Robey-Coleman is going to lock down the slot. Then, there will be competition for the other outside job. Avonte Maddox has the edge, but it could vary from matchup to matchup depending on the opposition’s receiving core.

Sidney Jones had a great last few games to finish up the season but people are tired of getting their hopes up prior to the season. They want to see results. Cre’Von LeBlanc is a great backup nickel corner and can play in dime sets when needed. Lastly, Rasul Douglas has been the subject of trade rumors this offseason but he’s here to stay for now.

While he’s not the most athletic corner, he’s not a terrible backup and the team can win with him on the field. If Rasul Douglas is traded before opening day, Craig James might get a spot since he adds special teams versatility. Grayland Arnold could also turn some heads and be a surprise candidate for a spot.
