. . Running Backs (4). . player. 54.

Miles Sanders, Boston Scott, Corey Clement, Elijah Holyfield are the four guys for this Philadelphia Eagles team.

The ‘Birds’ never signed a veteran back like we thought they would, but Duce Staley has always had his guys ready to go on game day. Miles Sanders is set to build upon an impressive rookie season in which he proved that he was a great runner, receiver, and pass protector. The anticipation for his sophomore season is building every day.

Boston Scott will be stepping into a role similar to that of Darren Sproles. He’s worked hard to get to this point, and Philly wants to see if he can do what he did in the final five games over the course of a full season. Corey Clement was re-signed despite the fact that his injury history has made some question that decision. 2017 is a distant memory, but the hope is he can get back on track and be the Corey Clement of old. Either way, there’s no question as to whether or not he’s making the team.

There is uncertainty about the fourth spot. Adrian Killins may earn a shot at some point with his game-breaking speed and ability to change a game at any moment. Michael Warren was productive at Cincinnati and can be a solid power back. There’s also Elijah Holyfield who was on the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad before being added to the Eagles active roster towards the end of last season. The only thing lacking in the running back room is a true power back. Holyfield may be the guy in short-yardage situations. Killins and Warren should be kept in the building on the practice squad.
