54. . . . Defensive Tackle (4). . player

Fletcher Cox, Javon Hargrave, Malik Jackson, Hassan Ridgeway won’t surprise any Philadelphia Eagles fans when they make the roster.

This group is pretty clear cut as well. Fletcher Cox wasn’t himself last year. He was still great in the run game but didn’t get to the quarterback as often as usual. He’ll be out for revenge in 2020. Now that Malik Jackson is healthy and Javon Hargrave is an Eagle, this group could be lethal.

With how often the Birds like to rotate the guys on the defensive line, having this trio will help everyone to stay fresh and be more productive as a result. One of the concerns is that Hargrave is transitioning from a 3-4 scheme to a 4-3 scheme but that’s a bit overblown. He was a disruption on the interior early and often and should benefit from playing alongside Cox when healthy. Interior offensive lines are going to have a tough time deciding where to direct their attention.

Hassan Ridgeway gets the last spot pretty easily. He only played in seven games and started in just five, but he put up two sacks, four tackles for loss, four hits on the quarterback, and six total pressures on the quarterback. Not bad at all for the 25-year-old.

Anthony Rush was intriguing in year one but he’s more of a situational player. At 350 pounds, he’s better for short-yardage downs whereas Ridgeway can be a decent replacement if anything happens to the three guys ahead of him. Rush should be kept around though.
