5 Studs and duds from first week of Philadelphia Eagles camp
Here are a few studs and duds from the first week of Philadelphia Eagles camp.
Sure, Philadelphia Eagles training camp started back in July, but for most of the football world and for most of the ‘Birds’ fan base, camp officially got underway when these guys threw the pads on. Here we are, with five official grass practices in the books, and there’s much to talk about.
Jason Peters, ‘The Bodyguard’ doesn’t look as though he’s completely sturdy and healthy. Young guys are making plays, and Philly’s star at cornerback, Darius Slay, has been a mentor to not only the young corners on this Eagles roster. He’s also helping to coach up the young wide receivers that he’s lined up against as well.
You love the hard work Nickell Robey-Coleman and Shaun Bradley are putting in. You can also fall in love with Avonte Maddox, Will Parks, and Carson Wentz as well. That’s if you haven’t fallen in love with them already. This team has a chance to be special in 2020’s regular season.
No team activities were scheduled for Saturday, so now that we have a minute, let’s tip the cap to five guys (well, technically six) who shined this past week and light a fire under five guys that didn’t. Here are five ‘studs’ and five ‘duds’ after the first real week of practice. Let’s begin with several of the week’s winners.
