So, you thought 2019’s crop of Philadelphia Eagles receivers was bad huh?

The wide receiver position has become something of a hot-button issue for the Philadelphia Eagles and their fans as of late. It seems like they’re something of a ‘Captain Ahab’ perpetually searching for that ‘Moby Dick’, a true star at wide receiver that more often than not, has eluded them.

Here’s the thing. They have consistently proven that they are able to win despite the lack of star power at the position. There’s another side though. Some say that winning a Super Bowl has nothing to do with having an all-star at the position. Go ahead and name the last time the game’s best wideout or one in the elite class won a Super Bowl. Don’t worry. We’ll wait.

This past offseason, fans and the media alike were stoked at the prospect of the Eagles adding a true number one receiver for Carson Wentz to toss the rock to. Suffice to say the choice of Jalen Reagor was surprising due to the fact that there were prospects that were taken both before and after that pick that some people viewed as being better options.

The thing is this. As starved as fans are for a receiver, and as much prayer as they’ll put in for their favorite team fielding a track team, especially in Philly, what the Eagles have had recently at the wide receiver position is far from being the worst unit that they’ve ever had.

Is anyone interested? Here’s a list.
