Might the best option to replace Dillard already be at Philadelphia Eagles camp?

Here we go again. At the rate that things have gone for the Philadelphia Eagles, the phrase ‘next man up’ might need to become an official team hashtag. Yep, throw that sucker up on PhiladelphiaEagles.com or on the team’s official Twitter account right next to ‘Fly Eagles Fly’.

It feels like this team has been dealing with injuries since 2017. No, wait. They actually have. What’s crazy is the fact that, normally, we’ve watched as those injuries have piled during the regular season. It’s August 27th, and we can’t get through a single on-grass practice session without talking about who’s here, who isn’t, and whether or not an upper-body injury is some sort of strain or, in Dallas Goedert’s case, a broken thumb.

On Day 10 of practice, Genard Avery, who was carted off of the field on Wednesday (and at one point, believed to have had a torn ligament), returned to work after it was learned that he had a bone bruise. Philly’s first-round selection from 2019, left tackle Andre Dillard, left the field of play during Sunday’s session and didn’t return until Wednesday.

One day later, following a rep versus Josh Sweat, he was forced to leave with an arm injury. Unfortunately, in his case, the news is a lot worse. He’s got a torn a biceps muscle, and according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, he’ll miss the 2020 season following surgery. The question is what’s next. Here are four possible replacements as he heals.
