54. . . . The Cornerbacks (6). . player

Let’s hope the Philadelphia Eagles have stabilized their secondary.

Darius Slay is an all-world cornerback, but he can’t shut down everyone’s passing attack alone. Avonte Maddox appears to be the guy who starts on the other side. Nickell Robey-Coleman is Philly’s starting slot corner.

Defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz often talks about positionless players, and even though Jalen Mills has made the move to safety, we know that he can play corner if need be. Rookie K’Von Wallace also demonstrated that he can play multiple positions on the field while with the Clemson Tigers.

With that in mind, the ‘Birds’ may not need six corners. They may only need five. Throw this in the category of ‘bold predictions’. On Saturday, the ‘Birds’ give up on the Sidney Jones experiment once and for all.

Verdict: Darius Slay, Avonte Maddox, Cre’Von LeBlanc, Rasul Douglas, Nickell Robey-Coleman, Sidney Jones

54. . . . Safety (5). . player

With everything above being said, here’s a look at what we have at safety. How’s this for another bold prediction?

Verdict: Jalen Mills, Rodney McLeod, Will Parks, K’Von Wallace, Grayland Arnold
