Philadelphia Eagles fans are always on the lookout for talent in the secondary.

Pro Football Focus‘ second-rated slot corner in college football could be on general manager and vice president Howie Roseman’s draft board. With a notable 2021 cornerback class including stars like Alabama’s Patrick Surtain II and Ohio State’s Shaun Wade, Turner could end up being a mid-to-late round steal for one lucky team.

According to PFF, Turner had more incompletions when thrown at than first downs allowed. He finished the season with 45 tackles, nine pass breakups, one interception, and one forced fumble. If he shows improvement once again in 2020, he could fly up the draft board and become the NFL’s next ‘slot god’ in due time.

The Eagles already have a pair of lockdown slot corners with Nickell Robey-Coleman and Cre’Von LeBlanc but both of them will be free agents after this season. Avonte Maddox could play at the nickel spot but that shouldn’t prevent the Birds from landing Turner and letting him play in dime sets and sub-packages. It will largely depend upon whether Robey-Coleman and LeBlanc get offered extensions but the Eagles should take note of Turner’s raw talent.
