Sorting out the curious cuts and inclusions for the 2020 Philadelphia Eagles.

As teams around the NFL sort out their 53-man rosters and their 16-man practice squads, we put a bow on what may be the most chaotic offseason in recent memory. Week 1’s game approaches, and at long last, the Philadelphia Eagles have built a team that they will take into the regular season. Adjustments will continue to be made, but for the most part, the hard stuff is over.

Heading into the aforementioned Week 1 matchup versus the Washington Football Team, the roster looks a tad different than fans expected it to look like (or had hoped it would look like). Nine rookies made the cut. A handful Howie Roseman’s recent draftees have been shown the door, and in a surprise move, a well-loved veteran, quarterback Josh Mccown, has made the team’s practice squad.

Then, there are the injuries, As usual, Philly is dealing with more than their fair share. As usual, those injuries made things a bit complicated for this proud franchise.

So far, nothing in 2020 has followed the script. The Eagles’ roster is evidence of that, but you can always expect a few surprises in the ‘City of Brotherly Love’.  Here are a few of the surprises that still has one of the game’s most loyal fan bases and several members of the Philly media talking. Here are three of the bigger surprises from this past weekend, with the exception of Josh McCown being added to the practice squad, of course, a move nobody has any issue with.
