Philadelphia Eagles’ fans should take note of their rival’s recent trade.

Recently, one of the Philadelphia Eagles‘ most bitter rivals made a trade the ‘Birds’ and their fans should take note of. ‘Big Blue’ sent a 2021 seventh-round draft choice to the Denver Broncos in exchange for cornerback Isaac Yiadom. Just like that, New York’s defense has been upgraded. Could they surprise a few teams along the way? Might one of those teams be from Philly?

The Giants’ defense still has question marks, but that isn’t because of their secondary. Losing Xavier McKinney for most of the season is a disappointment for them, but they still have two guys at the safety position that can get the job done. Julian Love had an impressive rookie year, registering 37 tackles (five for loss), three passes defended, one forced fumble, and one interception while playing 37 percent of the defensive snaps. Pro Football Focus gave him an overall grade of 70.5. He’ll probably play more a lot of free safety in 2020.

Jabrill Peppers was one of the key pieces on the 2019 Giants defense. He did it all to the tune of 76 tackles (five for loss), five pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and one interception. He’s above average in pass coverage. He’ll need to get better at tackling, but he’ll also have a big role in this defense.

As good as they both are, they don’t represent the biggest threats to this Eagles team. Neither does Yiadom. Don’t call those two games versus the ‘G-Men’ as guaranteed wins yet, and here are two reasons why that’s the case.
