Here’s why you can’t be too critical if you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan.
Close your eyes. Forget you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan for a second and ask yourself a question. If you were a new NFL owner looking to resurrect an NFL franchise, who would you hire? Would you take Brett Veach? Certainly, you would, but it’s probably safe to say that the Kansas City Chiefs aren’t letting him out of the door.

Would you take Dave Gettleman, Joe Judge, or David Caldwell? That’s a negative on those first two, but while that Caldwell guy seems to be a slightly better evaluator of talent than Roseman is, there are cultural issues with the Jacksonville jaguars. How come that team can’t win consistently? Why do all of their players leave? How much does Caldwell have to do with that?
Heck, why couldn’t the NFL just move the Jaguars to L.A. and leave the Chargers in San Diego, where they belong?
As stated earlier, Roseman may not be perfect, but he isn’t Gettleman either. Sure he misses on draft picks but take a look around the league guys and gals. Everybody does. That’s why there’s a draft every season. Sure, the cap for this Eagles team is often in shambles, but Howie always finds a way to get things back in line. Something has to be said about these Eagles rosters. If someone gets hurt, Howie finds the guys and then, Doug Pederson gets the most out of them. It may not be pretty, but the Roseman and Pederson thing is working in Philly.
This team regardless of how many bodies they’ve lost has made the playoffs in each of the last three seasons, and Howie has to be given some credit for that. Unfortunately, every coin has two sides, and it’s time to flip Howie’s over.
