Expect to see some fireworks by the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1.

Well, we’re almost there, and here’s what we know. This thing is going down people. After worry and a few months of doubt, the Philadelphia Eagles are scheduled to meet the Washington Football Team for a regular-season NFL game, the first game of the season for both franchises.

According to the Eagles’ injury report from Friday, defensive tackle Javon Hargrave and wide receiver Alshon Jeffery are out for Sunday’s game. Defensive end Derek Barnett, right tackle Lane Johnson, and running back Miles Sanders are all questionable.

Even with that being said, this is a game the Eagles should win. If they don’t, next week will be a long one as this is supposed to be one of the more winnable games on Philly’s schedule. We’ve all done it. We’ve grabbed the Eagles schedule and placed the letter ‘W’ or ‘L’ next to each game of the season. Now, let’s dig a little deeper.

Here are five bold predictions for Week 1, Philly’s first real test versus real competition. The opponent, this time, is a familiar one.
