Philadelphia Eagles’ receiver Greg Ward did what Greg Ward always does.

While Greg Ward won’t be highlighted in the box score, he did his job and fulfilled his role as the slot receiver. He had just 31 yards on five catches, but the catches he did make were key in keeping drives alive.

The quick separation he’s able to create is going to be big for the Eagles to keep their offense on the field for these next fifteen games. Let’s hope that his success continues.

As a former quarterback, he recognizes defensive coverages and knows where he has to be at all times. He continues to be especially successful against zone coverage. Something that also stood out in Philly’s first game was his ability to hang onto the ball in traffic despite being a bit smaller.

Keep an eye on him when he takes the field because he always seems to know how to get his job done. With every game, he is becoming more and more of a reliable weapon.
