The Philadelphia Eagles will face a Rams team that’s coming from a Week 1 win.

After having a few days to digest the Philadelphia Eagles 27-17 loss to the Washington Football team, we’re forced to move on to Philly’s matchup against a Los Angeles Rams in Week 2. Losing is never fun, but we can’t act as if the ‘Birds’ season opener was the end of the world. As a matter of fact, they can use it to learn from and look at the areas they need to improve on.

This Eagles team has flaws. That’s obvious, but they also have plenty of talent. If we just focused on everything that went wrong against Washington, we’d be left with a sense of doom and despair, so instead, let’s be objective and focus on the positives. Doug Pederson would be proud.

Carson Wentz can definitely play better. That’s been well-documented, and Jalen Reagor showed flashes of the playmaking prowess that made him a first-round pick in 2020. Moreover, running back Miles Sanders and right tackle Lane Johnson have a realistic shot at playing on Sunday after being full participants at practice on Wednesday. We don’t want to get our hopes up and it isn’t wise to place all of our hopes on the shoulders of just two players, but their return could reinvigorate an Eagles’ offense that became stagnant in the second half of their Week 1 game.

While it’s true that having Sanders and Johnson will give the ‘Birds’ a better chance to take on a Los Angeles Rams team that beat the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday, this version of the Rams may not be as good as the team that fought its way to Super Bowl 53. They are talented though, and they showed they have both offensive and defensive firepower versus Dallas. Let’s take a look at ten guys who can make life rough for a staggering Eagles team as we head into Week 2.
