The Philadelphia Eagles defense will have their hands full on Sunday.

Rookie Cam Akers has plenty of talent and will surely play an important role for the Rams down the road, but Malcolm Brown is the elder statesman in the team’s running back rotation. The rookie will get his fair share of snaps against the Eagles, but Brown should get the bulk of the touches.

Brown had four more carries than Akers against the Cowboys and ended up with 18 totes for 79 yards and two rushing touchdowns in the season opener. Why fix something that isn’t broken? If he has that type of output versus the ‘Birds’, Philly could be in some deep trouble.

. . . Cooper Kupp, Wide Receiver. 3. player. 51

Robert Woods was the Rams’ most productive receiver against Dallas, but that was because Cooper Kupp, as he normally does, got the lion’s share of Dallas’ attention. Kupp suffered a torn ACL in 2018 and missed the second half of the season, but he came back the following year and didn’t miss a beat. He appears to be fully healed now.

As one of quarterback Jared Goff’s favorite targets, Kupp caught 94 receptions for 1,164 yards and ten touchdowns in 2019 and the Rams rewarded him with a three-year, $48 million contract that he just signed recently. That’s how much they value him. There are many ways this Los Angeles team can attack Philly’s secondary and Cooper Kupp might be the most gifted of all of them.
