These Philadelphia Eagles have the talent to right the ship in Week 2.

The most disappointing thing about the Philadelphia Eagles losing to the Washington Football Team isn’t that a ‘lesser’ squad beat them. Rather, it’s that they have plenty of talent on their roster, and they should have won despite all of the injuries they have had sustained and how many mistakes they made.

It’s true that the ‘Birds’ offensive line couldn’t block and allowed eight sacks. It’s also true that they couldn’t get the running game going, but they had a healthy group of wide receivers and two of the best tight ends in the NFL, so there’s no reason they shouldn’t have been able to hold a 17-point lead. Instead, they allowed 27 unanswered points. There’s no excuse, but Philly can’t blame anyone but themselves for that one.

Losing and knowing you could have notched your first win of the season is bad enough, but losing back-to-back games to start the season would be worse. Eagles head coach Doug Pederson needs to get his squad together and right the ship. The Los Angeles Rams aren’t going to make it easy on them, but just like last week, Week 2 provides the Eagles with an opponent that they should be able to beat. If Philly wants to win its first game of the season and begin a winning streak, these ten players will need to shine.
