Philadelphia Eagles versus Los Angeles: 5 Key matchups to watch
What’s good for the Rams is good for the Philadelphia Eagles.
What’s that saying? Oh yes! What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Or, is it the other way around? Who knows? Let’s say this. What’s good for the Rams’ front seven is good for the ‘Bird Gang’.
Philly’s got plans of rattling Jared Goff on their minds, and if Los Angeles’ defensive coaches are smart, and we believe that they are, they’ve got to be thinking about the same thing.
No, that isn’t totally accurate. L.A.’s defensive coordinator, Brandon Staley, isn’t just thinking about getting to Wentz. He’s got to be salivating. After a temper tantrum and a subsequent raise, Jason Peters proved that he was every bit the 38-year-old we’ve discussed. Lane Johnson may play, but he won’t be one-hundred percent if he does, and though the interior of the Eagles offensive line, outside of Jason Kelce, is decent, knowing that Michael Brockers and Aaron Donald are coming to town won’t allow anyone to sleep peacefully, especially Carson Wentz.
You’ve heard this all week, and you’re probably sick of hearing this. It has to be said again though. ’11’ got sacked eight times in Week 1. That can’t happen in Week 2. If it does and things get out of hand, you might get your first look at Nate Sudfeld. No Eagles fan wants to see that.
