5. The Philadelphia Eagles win by ten.

The Eagles, since Doug Pederson took over in Philly and Sean McVay took the job in Los Angeles, have met the Rams twice. Doug Pederson is 2-0 versus the man who stole the AP NFL Coach of the Year trophy from him in 2017.

Both of those contests were in the L.A. Memorial Coliseum, and Doug has taken McVay’s measure in 2017 while losing an MVP candidate in the process and in a primetime game during the 2018 season when he took another broken-down bunch on the road and won as the underdogs in a game Philly was supposed to lose.

This time the Eagles are the home team, but the usually-rowdy Eagles supporters won’t be at Lincoln Financial Field to watch their beloved ‘Birds’ Instead, there will be artificial noise blaring through the loudspeakers and cardboard cutouts in the seats.

This Eagles team isn’t quite where they want to be yet. Last week’s performance definitely scares you if you love them, but for all intents and purposes, you have to believe that, if both of these teams give their best effort in Week 2, the ‘Birds’ should come out on top, especially when it’s going to feel like a 10 a.m. game for the west coast team.

Forget the lines and the hoopla. Philly will play as they did for most of the first half of Week 1’s game all afternoon long in Week 2. The ‘Birds’ will win by ten. Final score: Eagles 34, Rams 24
